RESUMEN
El presente
escrito tiene como finalidad realizar un breve análisis acerca de la
situación de los Derechos Humanos de las mujeres en Guatemala, tomando como
punto de origen la firma de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, pasando por la
firma de los Acuerdos de Paz entre los grupos insurgentes y el Gobierno y
finalizando con los diferentes mecanismos e instituciones de protección
implementadas. El pueblo Guatemalteco en especial las mujeres han sido el
blanco de la vulneración de Derechos Humanos, el régimen militar desencadeno
miles de millones de ejecuciones, desapariciones, torturas y violaciones las
cuales hoy día se encuentran en impunidad; de la misma manera la mujer
Guatemalteca ha sufrido el flagelo de la
denigración, exclusión, desigualdad y
discriminación en la vida política, social, cultural, educativa etc., no
obstante a través de la historia se han
implementado instrumentos jurídicos garantes de los derechos del genero
femenino.

ABSTRACT
The present paper aims to make a brief analysis on the situation of
human rights of women in Guatemala, taking as its point of origin the signing
of the United Nations Charter, through the signing of the Peace Accords between
the insurgents and the government and ending with the various mechanisms and
institutions implemented protection. The Guatemalan people especially women
have been the target of the violation of Human Rights, the military regime
unleashed billions of executions, disappearances, torture and rape which today
are in impunity; just as the Guatemalan woman has suffered the scourge of
denigration, exclusion, inequality and discrimination in political, social,
cultural, educational etc. life, however through history have implemented legal
instruments guaranteeing the rights of female gender.
